Conservation status. Endangered [EN B2ab(i,ii,iv,v)].

Morphology and biology. Fruit-bodies (apothecia) scattered, obconic with flat or convex disc, 2–4 mm in diameter, violet, soft with gelatinous consistency, narrowed bellow into more or less reveal stalk; flesh of thin-walled hyaline hyphae sunk in gelatinous hyaline substratum. Spores ellipsoid, 6–11 × 3–4 µm, unicellular with two oil drops and smooth coat, hyaline. VIII–X.

Habitats and populations. Under the trees on decaying leaves in boggy and shady places.

Distribution in Bulgaria. Vitosha Region (Vitosha Mt).

General distribution. Europe.

Threats. Habitat changes as result of tourism development, drought, low density; limited distribution and restricted range of species.

Conservation measures taken. Included in the Red List of Fungi in Bulgaria. The localities are situated on the territory of the Vitosha Nature Park and in a site of the European ecological network Natura 2000 in Bulgaria.

Conservation measures needed. Research into the species biology and ecology; inclusion in the National biodiversity monitoring system; preservation of the localities of the species.
